Fa La La Llama

Hello crafty friends and merry Christmas! I hope you are all having a wonderful day! We are enjoying spending lots of time with both of our families. Anyway, today's post is dedicated to the memory of our 2 sweet llamas, Dalai and Wendy, who were tragically killed by a mountain lion 2 weeks ago. They were such sweethearts and we are deeply saddened by their deaths. This card was inspired by our sweet girls -- may they find peace and God's eternal love in Heaven.

PDE Linky Party ~ Anything Goes

Hello friends! Happy Friday! I just returned from a 5-day trip to Nashville to visit my brother and his wife. I went with my parents and my 90-year-old grandma! She traveled like a rock star! Four hour plane ride -- no problem for Grams! We had such an awesome trip and lots of quality family time.

Today begins another PDE Linky Party! This is actually my first post as a new DT member so I'm super excited! We would love to have you join us and share any kind of crafty project you like. To see the full guidelines and link up your creations, click HERE or on the badge directly below. We look forward to seeing what you create!

I decided to go with a Christmas card, even though it's not even Thanksgiving yet. Annoying, I know! But I got excited about sharing my first hand-colored background. Yes, I've been sucked in to the new trend of adult coloring books. I started doing it before I even realized it was a trend but now the popularity of it is great because there are so many more products available. This particular background came from an Anna Griffin coloring book (see details below) but I love working with all different kinds. Anyway, I hope you like my first published attempt!....

It's not my favorite card by far but it came together quickly. I love how everything is already coordinated & I only had to pick from a handful of patterns & colors. Easy peasy!

The Ghost-ess With The Most-ess

Hello my fellow crafty peeps! Well.... it's Halloween Eve.... what sort of fun things do y'all have planned for tomorrow? We will be doing absolutely nothing. Yay! I've been really lagging on my Halloween/Fall crafting this year so I'll be working on some projects throughout the day. Plus, it's time for me to do a major purge & reorganization of my craft room. Major! Do any of you ever feel like you have so much stuff that it actually stifles your creativity & motivation? That's what I'm dealing with right now, so it's time to take control!

This card is just a quick & simple one I whipped up using the "Creepy Critters" cartridge. I think this little ghost is so adorable!....

Time for a craft-a-thon! Anyway, today I want to share a card I made for my friend's baby shower a few weeks ago.  Every element of this card came from the Anna Griffin card kit called "Playful Pieces". A Birthday Card and Some Other Stuff

Hello friends! It has been quite a while since I've posted anything but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Things in my little corner of the world have been quite hectic. My dad gave us a really good scare and had to undergo brain surgery but is on his way to a full recovery with no permanent damage. Thank God!

In addition to that, it looked like the "Valley Fire" was coming straight for us. Luckily for us the wind shifted and blew it right around us. However, many others were not so lucky at all. It completely devastated 3 whole towns and burned over 76,000 acres. So many people lost their homes, farms, animals and even a few loved ones. The main evacuation center is in our area and it is so sad to see all the displaced people and pets. If anyone has ever needed prayers, these people sure do.

On a lighter note, I have a fairly quick birthday card to share with you today. Well, it would have been quick if I didn't fuss with it and add a bunch of extra details. It's a problem I have and I should probably seek professional help, lol. I made this card for a friend's birthday with the new "Artistry" cartridge, which I am loving.

Introducing.... Olive!

Hi everyone! I'm doing something a little different today.... I'm posting pics of a card made by my 6-year-old Goddaughter, Olive. She's too young to have her own blog, so I'll be posting on her behalf every now & then.

It's time for the annual kid's challenge at Simon Says Stamp & she really wanted to enter a card. I know I know.... I think I've created a monster! She made it very clear to me that she wanted to do this completely on her own because the rules say try not to use any adult assistance. I'm proud to say that she made this card 100% on her own. Yes, she knows how to use my Cuttlebug machine for die-cutting & embossing.

She also wants me to mention that she is already reading chapter books that are a 4th to 5th grade level, lol.
