A Birthday Buck

*** Click HERE for the FCCB "Bug Out" Challenge ***

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you are all enjoying your Friday! We are definitely enjoying some much needed cooler weather here in Northern Cali. Today I'm sharing the card I made for my hubby's birthday, which was on Sunday. He's not a hunter (thank God!) but we love to watch all the wildlife, especially the deer, on & around our property here in the mountains. I always make him cards with tractors, trucks or tools on them, so I decided to change it up this time.

  3. great wildlife card, that's a great cut to make a card for a guy. thanks for joining bbtb2 this week. We used to go camping every year near Covelo, CA, somewhat near your area. We live in the bay area, and yes, I am glad it has cooled down to the 80's.

  5. I absolutely love this card! While I'm glad that you're not actually hunters, I did appreciate the nod to manly hunter-type of stuff. I really like how the buck looks happy and he's perfect against that fabulous patterned background. I also love the font you used to spell "Happy Birthday" with. It gives is such a whimsical feel! This card made me smile and you definitely have a great eye for combining different elements together so masterfully! Thank you so much for sharing this original and totally unique card with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

  9. This is a great card Diana! I love the deer head. My hubby used to be a hunter, but he isn't anymore and I'm glad. I love to see the deer and wild life too at our farm. The only problem is that they do a lot of crop damage and hubby would like to see some killed off. Me not so much so, I think we just need to feed God's creatures. lol Now only to convince hubby of that! lol Thanks for joining us at BBTB2 ;-)
