I made this card for my stepson's 32nd birthday a couple weeks ago. He's very into wolves and I love this image, even though it's very simple. I also like the effect of the trees in the background so I combined two Cricut cartridges to make this card. He seemed to really like it.

I made this card for a friend who recently had a death in her family. I wanted to keep with the Fall color palette but not have it be too dark and depressing. Basically, I wanted it to be respectful but yet still have a brightness about it. I photographed it outside on a lovely Fall day, which I think brings a nice levity to it....

Happy Flippin' Birthday

Ha ha! Get it?.... It's a flip card! Actually I think it's called a swing card but oh well. The pun was too good to pass up. Anyway, hello my crafty friends! I hope you are having a lovely Sunday. It's sunny, warm & beautiful here in Northern Cali. As I mentioned in my last post, I'm cool with the sunny weather but I really love the rain & cold. Weird, right? I don't know why. I've just always been that way.

Moving on.... this card was for our friend/neighbor for her birthday a couple days ago. It was so easy & quick to make that I felt like I should do more stuff to it. Does anyone else do that? I feel like it's not complete unless I fuss over it obsessively, lol. I managed to resist the urge this time & left it alone (pretty much).

A Belated Veterans Day Card

Hello crafty friends! I hope you are all having a fabulous week! I know I'm a little late, but I still wanted to share this card I made for my husband for Veterans Day. I couldn't post it until after I gave it to him (as he does occasionally read my blog, lol) & then I wasn't feeling well yesterday. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm so proud of my husband's service (82nd Airborne Div.) & so grateful for all the men & women who have served or are serving to protect our freedom. Happy (late) Veterans Day!

FCCB Challenge #233 ~ "Colors Of Fall"

Hello friends! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend & that your Monday has been relatively painless so far, lol. As many of you already know, I lost my Grandpa about 10 days ago. He was 90 & lived an amazing life. He spent 70 of his 90 years hand-in-hand with my Grandma, who is 89 & still going strong! We just had his funeral & service on Saturday. There are a few pictures from it posted on my Facebook page (Diana Lynn Martin), if you'd like to have a look.

Now that the sad news is out of the way, let's have some fun & introduce our new challenge!....

"Artfully Sent" Is Here!

Helloooo crafty friends! I'm so excited because I just received the new CTMH "Artfully Sent" Cricut cartridge. I actually got it 2 days ago but am finally getting to really play with it today. Below is the first card I've made with it & I'm working on another, which I will post later when it's done, along with many more I'm sure. I love this cartridge & I think it's going to be great for busting out some quick cards when the need arises. I can't wait until they come out with the Gypsy update so I can link it to my Gypsy!
